Take things as they come

It’s best to leave everything up to chance and see where it goes. You have the option to either have a partially planned trip that will still be terrible, or just see where things go. If you don’t know what will happen because you didn’t plan anything, the trip can be more exciting.

Lower your expectations

Your trip won’t be the same as it used to be. You will experience tons of inconveniences. It won’t be a perfect trip. Therefore, it helps if you lower your expectations. It might not be the same as before, but it can still be fun. Who knows? You will experience something different and memorable.

Keep it simple

Keep it simple

Last-minute trips aren’t about going to different places. You won’t have enough time to do so. It’s about relaxing and getting away from your usual life for a while. It may include a dinner at a restaurant or a walking trip. You can go inside establishments you can find while walking. If there’s nothing exciting on the way, it’s fine. You can keep walking and discovering other areas. Don’t forget to take photos along the way. These simple moments might make everything even more exciting.

Prepare to spend more

When you planned every detail of your trip, you might have a chance to avail of discounts and promotions. You also have enough time to browse different options and compare them. When you decide to travel in the last minute, you will take whatever is available. Therefore, you should prepare to spend more money than usual.

Always have a ready to go bag

One of the reasons why you don’t like last minute travels is that you don’t have enough time to pack your bags. It would be great if you have a bag that already has everything you need for a trip. You just need to grab it and you’re good to go. You don’t have to keep looking inside your closet for the best outfits. You also don’t need to take toiletries from the bathroom. Everything you need is already in your bag.

Going on a trip that you didn’t plan can be exciting. It doesn’t mean that you have to do it all the time. However, if you already tried doing it once, you won’t have a problem next time. You will enjoy the trip whether it’s planned or not.
